The Bad News - The effects of getting a 4 point speeding ticket can
be far reaching. For example, the 4 points may cause you to pay a greater fine, lose your
drivers license and/or receive a surcharge on your automobile insurance.
The Good News -
Municipal court prosecutors often are willing to plea bargain when it comes to speeding
tickets. An experienced attorney can often get you the best plea with the prosecutor. For
example, an attorney may be able to get a 4 point speeding violation reduced to a 2 point
violation (or in some circumstances, beat the ticket outright and receive no points). A
reduction or abolition of points from a ticket may cost you less in fines and not trigger
a possible license suspension and /or insurance surcharge.
Call the Law Office of Kalas and Jannarone if you receive a speeding ticket and would like
representation.
