Fines & Penalties for Motor Vehicle & Highway Offenses

The penalties listed on the below chart only apply when a court appearance is NOT MANDATORY and the defendant pleads guilty without a hearing. Look on the bottom of your ticket to see if the court appearance box is checked.

If the court appearance box is checked, this chart does not apply and you must go to court on the date indicated on the ticket. See Minimum and Mandatory Fines and Penalties for violations that require a court appearance.

We do not warranty or guarantee the correctness or reliability of the below chart. It should be used as a reference only as the law is constantly changing. The only way to be certain of the potential penalties is to call an experienced attorney.  Protect your rights. Call the Law Offices of Kalas and Jannarone if you have to go to court for any motor vehicle offense.

Note: Be sure that your web browser allows you to view each column correctly such that the corresponding statutes are lined up with the proper descriptions and penalties.
